Why would svchost.exe access iuengine.dll

Hi,

I have been using intrusion prevention software, and svchost.exe seems to
want to access iuengine.dll quite a lot. From the information I've
gathered, svchost.exe is a system process belonging to the Microsoft Windows
Operating System which handles processes executed from DLLs and iuengine.dll
*looks like* it is associated with Windows Update. Could anybody tell me
what is happening here?

Please advise if:
- you need more information, and what it is
- if I am in the correct newsgroup (i think I am, but...)

Any help appreciated!

Yes it is. If you have Automatic updates turned on, so that goes to
check, it will use this means of finding them. Best to tell your
software to accept as a regular thing without asking

Cheers, just out of interest, is this the only thing this dll does?

It probably gets involved if you go to Windows update to check and
install 'manually'
