Did you order another license for the same type of product you owned?

ie: RETAIL, UPGRADE or OEM.

Where from? There are a lot of scam sites selling what sound plausibly
like additional licenses but which are not

1-800-936-5700 option 0 for customer service. Ask them to
verify if the key is valid or not. They will tell you
whether it is A)Valid or Invalid, B)Retail or OEM
which will tell you whether you got ripped off or not.

Are you trying to use a Product ID you bought from Microsoft with
an OEM CD? Sorry, you can't do that. An OEM CD requires an OEM
Product Key.

Greetings --

Did you buy the additional license from the same source as your
installation CD? Did you ensure that you were buying a license for
the same sort of CD as you already had? Did you ensure that you were
buying the license from a reputable vendor?

Product Keys are bound to the specific type and language of
CD/license (OEM, Volume, retail, full, or Upgrade) with which they are
purchased. For example, a WinXP Home OEM Product Key won't work for
any retail version of WinXP Home, or for any version of WinXP Pro, and
vice versa. An upgrade's Product Key cannot be used with a full
version CD, and vice versa. An OEM Product Key will not work to
install a retail product. An Italian Product Key will not work with
an English CD.

Bottom line: Product Keys and CDs cannot be mixed & matched. You
have to have the specific type of installation CD for which that
license and Product Key was designed.
