Why won't Powr Pt. include linked sound files to CD presentation?

I'm trying to package a presentation for CD, to mail to people for viewing on
their own computers. When I try to package it, Power Point says it "can't
process" my linked sound files, which are songs that have been saved to the
same USB drive the presenatation is on (originally were on a cd). I have
successfully copied the presentation from my USB drive to the desktop of
other computers. Is there a copyright issue with the songs possibly? Or is
the file type ".wma" a problem?

Copy all songs you wish to include to the folder the presentation is saved
in and then reinsert them. Should do the trick.

Actually, it turns out that the computer itself was the issue - the USB drive
was "G" on the computer I was using to burn the copy, and was "F" on the
computer I created the presentation on. Didn't think that would be a
problem, I guess I assumed PPT would re-assign the source values or
something.

HOWEVER - after burning the copy, the grahpics I used were not the same on
the cd as they were on the USB presentation - God, even in 2006 this kind of
stuff still happens - I know I'm asking a lot here, but is there any way to
make the presentation on the CD the same as the presentation on the USB
drive? I wish there were a standard WYSIWYG formatting for EVERY program so
that copies of something like this would end up like the original without
having to tweak settings. I mean really. Any suggestions? Thanks in
advance.
