Why won't links work from JUNK EMAIL folder?

I've set the TOOLS setting that should not deactivate links that appear in
email which is in my junk email folder. But the links won't work. If I then
move that email to any other folder, the links magically work just fine.
Once I move the emails back to the junk email folder, they stop working. The
links are always blue no matter which folder they are in.

You have discovered the new security feature that was built into SP2
of Outlook 2003. What you are experiencing is exactly how it is
supposed to function (moving the message to another folder if you want
the links to work).

Thank you. But I HATE this "feature." How do I disable it? When I am
checking my junk email folder to see if it has accidentally grabbed important
email, and I discover that it HAS, I want to be able to instantly follow
links easily and immediately. I know enough not to follow a bad link. I get
200 emails each day and I don't have time to fart around moving falsely
directed email to other folders just to see what they contain.

Again - thanks for your response.

If it has falsely directed an e-mail to Junk you should promptly click the
"Not Junk" button to tell it to stop doing that. Which has the added
benefit of automatically moving the message back to the Inbox where,
conveniently enough, the links will work.
