Why won't ie stay open

B

Bob

Every since I upgraded Win2K, ie6 SP1, and the latest
activeX updates, IE won't stay open. If I get it open at
all, it almost immediately gives me the:

"Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and
needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

error window and shuts down.

I am so frustrated that I have actually downloaded Netscape :(

I have tried reloading all the downloads, I have updated my
virus definitions and rescaned again and again. Still
nothing helps.

Any suggestions.
