why password authentication only for some users while accessing server?

Hi all,

I have windows 2000 server and 20 XP(Office)workstations. All
users belong only to domain users group. They all have the same rights
and previlages. When some users try to access server resources through
"My network places", they are prompted for the password but others are
not prompted to put in their password. Why? How can I have all users
prompted for the password.

Thanks

Rita

Normally domain users are not required to enter credentials when accessing a domain
resource that they have permissions to. If the server they are accessing has local
accounts that they need to authenticate to for access then they may be prompted for
credentials. Windows XP has the "stored credentials" feature which some users may be
using to access a resource so that they do not need to enter credentials every time
they access the resource. The link below tell about XP stored credentials. ---
