why no streaming video on my TV out???

I've recently added wireless internet to my home. (I have an IBM T30
laptop with integrated wireless.) Thought it would be fun to hook it
up to the TV and watch videos on it instead of just the LCD screen.

Everything displays fine, except streaming video. Doesn't matter if I
use Real Player or Windows Media, just a black window where streaming
video should show.

ATI Mobility Radeon 7500 is the graphics chipset used.

Any help appreciated.

use the 'clone mode options' within the 'overlay' tab of the ATI control
panel.
