why my outlook2003 couldn't receive 2M email?

i use w2k + outlook2003 + gmail. when the attachment was over 2M, my outlook
always reported error and the process was canceled.
do you know why? tks!

Not unless you tell *us* what was the error. There are way too many
errors for us to guess which one you got. You never mention WHAT type
of file you are attaching. Attached files are encoded so they become
text; that is, ALL e-mail is sent as plain text, so binaries have to
be encoded into text strings. That encoding results in enlarging the
size of the content that gets put into the e-mail which was the file
that you attached. Between what you put in your message along with
the enlarged size of the attached file after it gets encoded into text
strings, you might be exceeding the maximum per-message quota for the
gmail account (which, I believe, allows up to 10MB per message). But
that's just a guess because you never mentioned WHAT error you get.
