Why message "operation failed" when e-mailing distribution list?

Frustrated Secretary

I have several distribution lists set up on my Outlook. One of them works
just fine when I send an e-mail; however, when I add the other 3 lists to the
address line, I get a message "operation failed." I tried re-entering the
names and e-mails for one of the lists, but it didn't correct the problem.
Does anyone know what's wrong?

Corrupted DL. Happens regularly. Create a new one from scratch or use a more
reliable method for grouping recipients.
