Why is word not available as email editor?

In outlook, I have selected "use word 2003 to edit email messages." Until
yesterday this worked fine. Today, when attempting to reply to messages, i am
getting the message "word is not available, not installed, or is not the same
version as outlook. Outlook email editor will be used instead."

Since beginning to receive this message i have updated all of my MS software
and restarted, but am still having the same problem. Any clues on how to
resolve?

I have reinstalled office and it appears to have fixed the problem. Thanks.
