why is there a red cross on my installation disc

On my Professional Plus install disc, there is a red cross saying that
Outlook is not available to install.
Why is this, when Outlook is part of the package?
 
Probably because an Office trial is still installed, that you failed to
uninstall before installing from cd, or that Office or a previous version of
Outlook is still installed.
Only a single instance of Outlook can be installed
