Why is Outlook 2003 crashing after only 15 seconds of being open?

It wasn't doing this 3 days ago. It started when it wouldn't send or receive
any mail, so I uninstalled Plaxo and Skype4Outlook and rebooted. I then
opened Outlook 2003 and performed the "Detect and Repair" which completed
successfully, but now Outlook won't stay open long enough for me to do
anything at all. It just gives me the message saying "Microsoft Outlook has
encountered an error... send error to Microsft, etc." I've turned off,
turned on, rebooted, etc and nothing has changed.

- I am using Windows XP Pro SP2 (Windows Update online says there are no
new updates)
- I have Office 2003 with SP2 (Office Update online says there are no new
updates)
- I use Outlook Exchange with my job, and it has worked since last February
when I started working here.
- I am using an IBM T42 Thinkpad with a 1.7MHZ Centrino processor, a 40GB HD
and 512MB of RAM.

If you need any additional information please respond. I have a degree in
Computer Networking and Systems management, but this issue is baffling me!

Basically all of them were multiple instances of a couple of different kinds
of ERROR and INFO events. I've copied some of the descriptions here:

Have you tried it already with all your add-ins disabled? One of them is
most likely causing you this issue. In addition rename extend.dat to
extend.old

ok, i don't have a file on my computer named extend.dat so i'm not sure what
you are referring to.... as of yesterday though, it's suddenly started
working again, and has only crashed like 2 times today. much better than 23
times, don't you think? haha. thanks for your help so far. if you have any
other ideas, let me know.
