when I receive e-mail from a specific person it has HTML code embedded in it.
Have I got a wrong setting or has he?

What do you mean by "embedded" - the HTML tags are displayed instead of
rendered? If this is the case, then the sender's mail client does not
mark the the content-type as text/html.

Version of outlook and windows?

I suspect the message was received via Bcc. This is a problem with Vista
and Outlook 2003.

Not necessarily - ask the person to not BCC you or wait for the fix which
may never come. :)

If you own a version of office that includes outlook, then you might benefit
from the upgrade - but I would probably not buy it just to fix this problem.
