When users copy files from one folder to another on a remote file server(2000 server), it is very slow. Does this have anything to do with SID's or the file copying back and forth across the WAN?

Copying the file from the remote server to the local server is fast so why is this so slow

Is it possbile to speed this up

Does Server 2003 solve this issue

Thank

Because the copy is running like so:

RemoteServer-WAN-desktop-WAN-RemoteServer
