why is a used hp 5000 worth more than a used hp 8000 / 8100?

Could someone explain to me why a used hp 5000 is worth more than a
used hp 8000 / 8100 (on ebay etc.)? no matter what the page count hp
5000s seem to go for more than 8000 / 8100s even though the 8000 /
8100s often have duplexers and the 5000 duplexer is usually flakey.
(the 8000 is nominally 24 ppm and the 5000 is nominally 16 ppm and
both are 1200 dpi resolution IIRC.) Thanks.

Reasons the LJ5000 is worth more:

Newer generation: instant-on, almost-no-tools repair/maintenance
True 1200 DPI: LJ8000 is 600 DPI + FastRes enhancement to 1200
Sharper prints: 1200 DPI + FastRes looks amazingly sharp
Much lighter and a little smaller: can be moved by one person

That said, if I was picking one for an office that prints lots of text
and 11x17 spreadsheets, an 8000/8100 might be better just for paper
capacity.

My only real complaint with the 8000 is that replacing some of the
internal rollers is annoying. Well, that, and needing help to carry it.
