Why I cannot creat MDE file?

I am using Access 2002, while the database I am creating is defined as 2000.

To my surprise, when I change this MDB file to MDE file, I can't choose this
function from the menu (grey color).

Why? How?

Martin,

You need to first convert your database to the Access 2002 file format, in
order to create a .MDE file using Access 2002.
