Why English catalogue name in Swedish Vista?

I’ve just migrated from XP Pro Swedish version to Vista E. Swedish version.
Recurrently I'm warned for that the catalogue c:\program where Swedish
versions install programs may cause problems. In Sweden we use c:\Program -
not c:\program file which English versions do. I’m then as asked if I will
change catalogue name to c:\program1.

Then I noticed that Vista installs new software’s in the English c:\program
file and not “our†way.

Can I do anything about this odd behavior?

no.
Vista is always in english internally and it's pathnames are also,
therefore it installs of course to the english named folders - otherwise the
programs wouldn't run properly, because this is systemwide.

Only the ui ( what you see on Desktop and the menus ) are localized.
That applies to all non-english versions.

This makes patching vistas worldwide easier, as MS can develop faster only
one core update,no matter what the language is. For Xp and 2003 there was
the need to make updates in all languages.
