Why don't the labels fit in the Avery templates when printing?

When I had Windows 98 and printed return address labels in Word, they came
out perfectly. Now that I have MS XP, when I set up the labels and click on
the appropriate Avery label number. the first column is fine, but the second
and third are way off and the print goes into the perforations. Help.
 
I'd suggest asking this in a newsgroup related to Word (there are numerous
ones starting microsoft.public.word).

This newsgroup is for questions about Access, the database product that's
part of Office Professional.
 
Have you checked your printer preferences?

I had a similar problem with my printer defaulting to Americal 'Letter;
paper as apposed to UK A4.
