For many months I've accumulated various undeletable file and/or folders,
but although I've read various 'solutions' for individual queries, have
never had any success - or seen anyone give a legit reason as to why they
can't be deleted
Example -
For 12 mths, I've had a folder 'OVELAN6J' containing a 0KB file 'search[1].'
(no idea where it came from in the first place)
If I try & delete the file in any mode, I get "Cannot read file. Cannot read
from the source file or disk"
If I try to delete the folder, the message is "Cannot delete search[1].
cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and
file name"
One odd thing is that I can move the folder to a different location without
any problem. What actually is 'delete' looking for?
The other odd thing is the construction of the file name. I've never come
across one with a name ending with a "." or "[1]."
Any ideas? I've tried Kelly's fix, but with no success to date.
