When I click on the drop down arrow to select a drive or directory so I can
locate a file I get a dialogue box that says "server busy" with choices to
"switch to" or "retry"

The system is also very slow when I click on my computer, getting a
"flashlight" until it can loate the files.

XPpro with SP2 embedded.
Asus P5P800SE PD 820 1mb ram

The spyware and virus programs did not find anything so far.

Any ideas on a trouble shooting approach

I did find this when doing a search for "server busy".

Its on a eudora forum but it sounds like something similiar.

He says his problems started when his computer lost power.
I'm not sure but I may have started having problems when my computer was
left to go into hibernate, but it didn't go into hibernate properly. I don't
know for sure.

Any way this is to link to the post I found:

What do you think?
