why does page change when browser is resized?

My page looks fine but when the browser is resized the
whole page gets changed around with words all over. can
anyone help out.

It depends upon how the page is constructed. Unless things like table cells
are forced to be a certain size, the browser will shrink them to what it
needs in order to display them. If words are loosely placed on a page the
browser will jumble them when the page is reduced in size. Basically, it's a
design consideration that effects the way things are initially built. It is
possible to build a site that survives re-sizing using tables with very
specific pixel sizes and then placing the text inside them. Without seeing a
URL it's hard to know what may be best in your case. If you post a URL we
can get a feel as to what may be good for you.
