why does outlook close unexpectedly?

My outlook 2007 has begun closing unexpectedly after a couple minutes. When I
reopen it, it says a data file is being checked since it closed incorrectly
(or something similar). Last night, my entire computer crashed; it took
several hours of running disk checks and repairs to get it functional again.
This morning, the outlook started crashing. Any ideas?

Run an Office / Outlook repair
Look in Event Viewer for any possible probs
Determine the make of your HD then use the free checking utility available
on their site

Thanks for your quick reply. After I posted, I remembered that in Add/Remove
programs, sometimes there is a repair option. (I'm using Vista Home Premium.)
I went to Add/Remove Programs and used the change option for Microsoft Office
since I didn't see outlook listed. I was then given the option to repair or
uninstall. I chose repair. It took a while to complete, but it seems to have
fixed whatever the problem was.
