Why does Outlook change task due dates I've set (simple view)?

In Outlook 2003, I am entering tasks by hand with start and due dates. I am
noticing that when I return to update/change the start date, Outlook is
inexplicably changing the due date, often for months later. Is there an
Outlook patch to correct this behavior?

Have never seen it do that anywhere else.

What add-in software are you running?

Are you synching with a PDA?

Oh - and check whether the PDA is overriding the PC in which case the Tasks
may be losing data as the PDA doesn't hold as much data about Tasks as
Outlook does.
