Why does Outlook 2000 still try to load when I have Outlook 2003?

Why when opening an email in my in box using Outlook 2003 does Outlook 2000
try to load? It says that the "features I am trying to use are in Outlook
2000" and the system looks like it is loading software. This doesn't happen
every time, but nearly every time. I have set the editor preferences to use
Word 2003, which is loaded.

BillR,

I just posted something in line with this email. Can you tell me how to
uninstall 2000 without uninstalling the entire office suite of 2000?
Thanks in advance for any help!

If you run the Change option in Add or Remove Programs, you should be given
the option to add or remove components.

Hi Brian,

I already uninstalled the entire Office 2000 suite along with some
components I had installed from Professional 2000 (I own both). Now every
time I start a program, or try to do something in my web browser, I am
prompted for the Office 2003 disk which I don't have! The reason I
uninstalled in the first place is because I had a trial version of 2003 on my
computer that I didn't realize I even had. I got a new PDA phone and the
wireless sync feature isnt compatible with Outlook 2000 so when researching
that and doing a search on my machine I found that I had 2003. I opened it,
it installed just fine except I didn't realize I couldn't run it correctly
while 2000 was still on my machine. Now I'm totally screwed because if I
uninstall 2003 trial I'll have nothing, I can reinstall 2000 but that won't
help me with my PDA (the reason I even NEED Outlook, I've been using Outlook
Express on this machine). Now I can't even use Outlook express without
getting the prompt to insert the 2003 disk (although when I hit cancel about
3 times it eventually goes away and lets me open the program and emails) If
you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it. Oh, and I can't buy 2007 just yet
because this phone has windows mobile 6 on it and its not compatible with
2007 just yet...just to make it even more interesting!
Thanks :)
