Why does Outlook 2000 block links attached to e-mails

When I try to send a link to a website I am at in Explorer 6.0 by clicking
File - Send - Link by e-mail, Outlook 2000 displays the following message and
doesn't send the e-mail: "The message has not been sent. Outlook blocked
access to the following potentially unsafe attachments...". I think this is
by design that it does this, but is there a way to work around it and e-mail
linke to websites?

Thanks.

Because secure versions of Outlook block shortcut files, I recommend that
you use a little free add-in for Internet Explorer when you want to send
someone a link to a page. You can get MailTo_URL from
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/gallery/index.htm#mailto. It adds an "Email
Page" command to the right-click menu in IE and uses the title of the page
for the subject of the mail message.

Make sure that the registry entry you create to tell IE where to find the
application matches the location where you save the program.
