Why does my Outlook 2003 (running XP) keep crashing and restarting

For some reason, Outlook 2003 is crashing every few minutes. It then asks me
to send an error report, which I do, and then it relaunches Outlook.

I requested and installed all updates, but it's still doing it.

I did recently install the latest version of IE; i.e. 7.0.5730.11. Could
this have something to do with it?

Should I simply reinstall the program from my CD?

Please advise.

Are there any error messages or numbers? Anything in the Application event
viewer that ties into Outlook or Office? Usually when you get a crash
analysis from Microsoft, it will offer you a link to further information, did
you follow that? Did this start out of the blue or has this been a
consistant issue since you installed Outlook 2003?

I am getting the same error, I believe. After installing ie7 on Windows XP,
Outlook 2003 (SP2) simply crashes on opening. The error report does not
provide any link.

The crash appears to happen when Outlook begins the Send/Receive cycle.

I uninstalled ie7 and the problem ceased and Outlook downloaded the backed
up mail (the first of which had an HTML content, but it was chrashing on
email download, not display). Which is a pitty because I rather liked the
new look and feel of the tabbed explorer windows.
