Why do some of my emails display SPAM in the subject line?

This just started happening. Yes, I have rules setup, but none of them
include SPAM in them. Several of the lists I subscribe to have started
coming in with SPAM at the beginning of the subject line.
I did add a new email account, which isn't hosted on the outgoing mail
server I'm using it on. I log onto the mail server using my account name
from the account that's hosted there. Could that be why? It doesn't happen
on the other email account.
 
ask your isp. some isp's run a utility on their mail servers that flag
possible spam messages by adding something like "::SPAM::" to the beginning
of the subject line. that makes it easier for you to filter them out if you
want.
