Why do images in frontpage become "squished" after publishing?

I am building a website from a template. The template has a gallery in it
with thumbnails on each side and when clicked on the thumbnail you can see
the larger version in the middle. Locally the pictures are fine untill I
publish in Frontpage 2003, the images become squished in the center. I size
the images in photoshop to the template suggestions and the width and height
are unchecked and not specified in the html code...Is there a way to tell
frontpage not to resize the pictures in anyway so they just float in the
middle to whatever size I specify...?

Can you post a sample URL so that we can see what may be going on? FrontPage
should not be resizing anything, especially during the publish process. What
FP will do, if anything, is to try to stick the file sizes in the image tag.
It could be IE itself that is squishing the image as it has some features
for shrinking images to fit. Bottom line though, if you can post a URL to
show us what may be going on that should help us figure out the how and why
it's happening.

Hope this helps,

Mark,

I posted the same question and still no one has been able to answer it. They
all refer back to the sizing of the original pics which mine are the same and
done exactly as yours. FP puts in a size in the html code when it uploads
its a glitch and if you read my posting on 9/30/05 you will see to what
lengths I have gone.

Did you ever find a fix???

Are you sure it isn't the automatic resize feature of the browser that
is "Squishing" your images.
FrontPage placing the image size in the code is "Not" a glitch, it's
called an image place holder,
and it's there so that the browser doesn't have to re-render / rearrange
the page after the image downloads
from the server.

Do you have a link to a page with these "squished" images??
