Why do I get this error - Class doesn't support automation ???

Hi,

I use IE 6 on XP Pro, and I often get an error message: Class doesn't
support automation.

In many cases the page works fine in spite of the message, but sometimes
some functions doesn't work. for example, when a new window opens, it's
blank and the title is: "about: blank".

Is there a way to fix it? (maybe in my browser settings?)

Hi Jeff :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Go to Tools>Internet Options>Advanced.
Check the box to "Disable script debugging."
Uncheck the box to "Display a notification about every script error."

If still no joy, try reregistering the following::

Click Start>Run> and type in: (hit enter after each one to register them
regsvr32 msscript.ocx
regsvr32 dispex.dll
regsvr32 vbscript.dll

You should see a message after each entry confirming they have been
registered.

Hope this helps.
