Why do I get disabled macros when closing Outlook?

Since upgrading from Office 97 to Office 2003, everytime I close Outlook, I
get:
- a VB message that says that "macros in this project are disabled"
- followed by "You cannot close Microsoft Office Word because a dialog box
is open. Click OK, switch to Word, and then close the dialog box
- followed by another VB message that says that "macros in this project are
disabled."
Word is not open when I get these messages. I have already followed help
instructions to turn macros on.

Help would be appreciated.

A Word window may not be open, but if you're using Word as your mail editor, it may be loaded along with Outlook. Try opening Word on its own and checking the macro security there. My hunch is that the messages are coming from Word, not Outlook.
