Why did this fix it?



Error I couldn't solve for weeks with help from Techs: Server:
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC0E
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No
Socket Error: 10060

So I was looking the error up online, and someone mentioned checking the
firewall settings on the router (that have been set up for years mind you).
I changed the setting from high to med....closed the router connections and I
got all of my emails working again. Could someone tell me why this fixed my
problem when I have been checking my emails on the other computers using the
same router?

I don't know. My router doesn't have security settings.
Sounds like a situation of 'too many cooks in the kitchen' to me.
