Why can't Outlook send my auto reply message?

I'm using Outlook 2007 and I have an auto-reply rule set up. Outlook is set
up as plain text and I've sucessfully created the outlook template in plain
text format. When Outlook sends/receives, an error message pops up saying
that my "Out of Office" rule is in error and the error message is "Can't
reply to message".

I can't find any documentation that addresses this issue or gives me a clue
what the problem is.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!
Rick

Post the exact rule. State your account type.

You created a rule. Okay.
You created a template. Okay.
Did you specify to use that template in the rule?

Is it a secret rule? Tis impossible to diagnose by others a rule that
is never known by others.
