Why can't I set a word document as my desktop background?

I want to set a word document as my desktop background but when i press
browse it is not showing up in my fies eventhough it is saved !!!HELP !!!!
 
I keep thinking about the documents I have on my computer and there's not
one of them I'd want to see as a desktop image.

I assume your document has some sort of a picture. Why don't you just use
that?

Can you copy and paste the image from the Word doc to an image file and save.
You can then use the image file as your background.
