Why can't I open or create report report?

I'm trying to design a simple report based on a table. When I try using the
wizard I get a pop up box with an "I", it says wizard could not create the
report.

If I try to create a blank report nothing happens.

Can someone please help me?
 
Did you select a query or a table (a record source) in the wizard? Or do
you mean you received an error message as soon as you started the wizard?
What do you mean by "If I try to create a blank report nothing happens"?
How and why are you trying to create a blank report? If you are, in effect,
trying to create a printable form for somebody to fill out, use an unbound
report (i.e. no record source). What is the nature of "nothing", and how
does it differ from what you expected?
