Impossible to say with so little detail provided. Include your
version/mode/SP level of Outlook (help | about), tell us what kind of email
account you're using, and the exact text of the error message you see.
Sometimes at work this happens. The attachment clip appears gray.
To work around it I click on Forward then click on the MSWord icon in the
address section of the emai.
Last week a pop up screen appeared with an option to uncheck a security box.
When I did this it allowed me to acces the attachment.
Do you know if there is an option in Options that may be checked to avoid
this problem>
