Why can't I get more than one button on the Navigation Pane?

On the Navigation Pane I want to add "Contacts" and "Calendar" and maybe even
"Journal" to the one button I have now which is "Mail". I am familiar with
Outlook and how to accomplish this task except that nothing is working; I
cannot resize "Mail" and even when I choose "show more buttons" nothing
happens. Conversely, when I choose "show fewer buttons" it removes "Mail"
and I have no buttons. Can anyone help?

Sounds like you might have a corrupt navigation pane. You might try deleting
the .xml file associated with that profile (see
http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm for file locations) or try a new
profile. Unfortunately, the navigation pane in Outlook 2003 seems a bit
fragile.
