I now have a problem opening attachments that have what looks like a flower
pot in the middle of a white sheet of paper with the top right corner turned
down.
A box comes up saying it is opening up the attachment-- and a second box
says "The Installation Source is not available. Varify that the source
exists and that you can access it" but does not tell me how to varify it
exists. I used to be able to open these attachments and can't understand why
I can't open them now. All attachments sent to me are scanned so there
should not be a problem there also they come from the same people who always
send me attachments. I pay for Microsoft Office Outlook Connector.

What kind of attachments are they? Word documents?
What version of Outlook are you using?
Do the attachments open correctly when you save them to disk first?
