hei!

2003 mdb in 2002-2003 format

when i replace field name on my table fe. fieldone -> fieldtwo, my form
which is based on fieldone remains fiedlone,
the same happens (nothing hapeens) also queries and reports based on that
table.

2003.mdb in 2000 format

when i replace field name on my table fe. fieldone -> fieldtwo, my form
which is based on fieldone changess fiedltwo,
the same happens also queries and reports based on that table. All is fine.

Must i use 2000 format in 2003.mdb files to keep automatic function alive?

Hi Tero.

IME, the Name AutoCorrect has never worked reliably in any version of
Access, so what you describe would not be surprising.

If you are relying on this misfeature, there are lots more bugs awaiting you
yet. Here's an old list:
Failures caused by Name Auto-Correct
at:

MS has addressed some in that list, but there are lots more I haven't
bothered to add: there should be enough to scare you into taking a more
reliable approach than Name AutoCorrupt.

If you need help to identify where a field is used in your database so you
can change it, here's some links:
