Why are pictures being saved with .tmp at the end?

All the sudden when I try to save pictures to my website(embedding them),
they come up with an error: server error:write error on file........jpeg.tmp.
The pictures will not download to the site. I am assuming it is trying to
save these pics as temporary files somehow??? It's never happened before.

Are you IMPORTING them into an 'images' folder before using them on pages in
a open web?

Check how much free space you have in your hosting package. The error
is typical of space running out.

yes, from what I;ve read it is probably no room on the server. Thanks!
