I have posted the following queston twice to this forum and twice it has diappeared
******************************
MSCONFIG question
I have the following item checked for startup.
TACTIC~1
According to the msconfig information this is located in the Mydownload folder on my D drive. ( TACTIC~1.EXR/r HKCU-software....)
I have no folder or program of such name in this folder.
In fact it is now empty.
Can anyone tell me what this is?
I have 'googled' but can find nothing.
I also have spywareBlaster+spysweeper +AVG+Zone Alarm
It is hard to think something got past all this
Any ideas?
thanks

I have received the following reply

Greetings,

If I were you just untick that opeartion.

Thanks and best of luck!

****************************
If I search for my post under TheBFG I can find it but it has gone from the main forum page.
Does anyone have any idea why?
This is the first time it has happened and I still don't know what TACTICS~1.EXE/r actually is.
Sorry to be a bother but I find it kind of strange
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks

Greetings,

In the last post i asked you to submit a screenshot of the error.

Thanks and best of luck!

All three of your posts are appearing, and all have an answer. Your trouble
in finding them may be related to your using the web interface for the
newsgroup. You could either set up a newsreader, such as Outlook Express,
or use Google Groups to find your posts.

Good luck.

It hasnt dissappeared its just that you are using the web interface to read
ng's and this can be problomatic.
Use a dedicated newreader, yr sys has one installed, 'Outlook Express
Newsreader'

Hi - you might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or
Forte Agent rather than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot
easier to do nearly everything there, including searching, which is always a
good idea to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and
filter based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.

For tips on using the web interface, should you prefer to use it, see
