Why are custom views inherited to other folders?

I've defined a custom global view for my inbox folder some months ago. Now
I've changed this view because I've got a new LCD. The changes I made became
instantly visible to the inbox folder. However, other folders with the same
view assigned show the old layout. That is, the changes aren't populated to
other e-mail folders.

I couldn't find a way to inherit my changes to other folders. What can I do
tell Outlook that all e-mail folders should look the same?
