why am I receiving duplicate messages in my inbox?

When people e-mail me I get dupliciate mesages in my inbox, it is usually 2
sometimes 3. What is causing this to happen?

Hi,
maybe you have created some rules!
Please be sure that you have activate "stop processing other rules" after
every rule

What version of Outlook? What type of mail account do you use?
