Why am I getting 3 copies of the report on my screen?

I have a report which has a number of subreports. Some of the sub reports
also have subreports. When I click on preview I get 3 copies of the report
on my screen. One copy has no border and is on top of two other copies both
of which are only partly visible and have the borders with the Min/Max and
Close buttons? Anyone any idea what's happening?

I think the report must have been corrupt. I've imported a copy from a
backup and it worked OK
