Who's got it open?

Is there a switch somewhere that either allows or denies a person the
ability to see who has a document on the network open already when you are
trying to open it?

Man, do you have this wrong:
First, I am the network administrator. I am the person who determines who
has permissions on all computers, and I am trying to find out that if
somebody has the document open, then who is the person who has it open? One
of our computers (XP) is automatically reporting this information. Others
are not. Where is the switch?

You need to understand that Crusty
