Who can tell me the work flow of 802.1x authorization Supplicant on winXP.

I'm enginenror working on network switch.
We have design an 802.1x module on our switch. And it
worked smoothly, with 802.1x Supplicant from some
companies other than Microsoft.

We tried some times on 802.1x authorization Supplicant
on WinXP, but cannot clear our how can it work. We have
the following key question:

How can make the winXP Supplicant send the EAPOL-start
message to start an whole authoriing process?
