white space between 2 sections????

I created a report and have the following problem.....


The report has a huge amount of white space between the detail section &
the
page footer.

Note: The detail section has the records from a query, and the page footer
contains a pasted
chunk of text.

How do I fix this problem????

It's quite hard without seeing the report.
Two points to check

1. Does the report has open space in it
2. Set the "Can Shrink", "Can Grow" properties of the sections in the report
to Yes.
Sometimes we set the properties for the fields but not to the section where
they are located in, and that can make a space.
