I'm worryed about this too because I count on smaller size possible for a
internet application
If I design a 300 K client and Framework is 50 M is bad enough.. I force
every client to download such a huge app with a dial up

I am pretty sure the next version of the Fx won't be smaller...

Crirus,
Considering all the features that are being added I would not expect the Fx
itself to be smaller.

Whether MS is working on finding a "lighter" method of deploying .NET apps
over the internet I'm not sure. I'm not sure what the viability of ah
"lighter" method would be. I know they have the "one click" however that
still installs the complete framework.

If you haven't you may want to consider submitting a request to have a
"lighter" method at http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp, my
concern is "one click" is the "lighter" method...
