Hi,

I need to buy a Wireless USB Adapter for my PC with XP on it. I have come across various makes and apart from one (TP-Link), there isn't much between them in terms of price. Could you
help me choose one in terms of quality please (you can put all in order of preference if that is easier):

1)TP-Link - £9.45

2)MicroNEXT - £6.95

3)BlueNEXT- £7.45

4)NewLink - £7.99

Thank you.

You say PC, you do mean a PC and not a laptop? :)

If so i'd suggest a wireless card rather than a USB adaptor.

Something like...

http://www.ebuyer.com/search?store=8&cat=39&subcat=1019

Will be ultimately more reliable than a USB job. ;)

Never heard of any of those ebay 'specials' and ill put money on it the two (first and last) that say up to 150mbps aint anywhere near that...

You get what you pay for.

I'll second the recommendation for a PCI card if you are using a PC rather than a laptop - they are much more reliable, in my experience :).

Nope, not a one of them, they all be crap :)

And you not a nuisance, this is what we're here for, all paid up members of the UK masochist's club ;)

Forget E-Bay, look at Scan; Overclock.co.uk; Novatech; Aria; E-Buyer; Dabs; Kustom PC's; Chillblast and a fair few others.

Go for a known make, Linksys and Netgear are probably the two best makes and they're not a helluva lot more than the ones you've linked to.
