I've just upgraded to Mac OSX and need a new scanner. I'm a graphic
designer who gets all kinds of images to scan from sources all over
the world - photos, slides, newspaper and magazine images, original
artwork. I need a flatbed scanner with transparency adapter. 4000 spi
for film, 600-1200 for reflective, 36+bits, ability to convert to
different ICC profile, will run with VueScan, at least 3.4D, and I'd
like raw support and firewire. Does anyone out there have any
suggestions? In the $1000 range...
