Ask Outlook which one is the current default. File>Data File Management and
Tools>Options>Other>AutoArchive. If both are in use, it certainly won't
hurt to back them both up.

I was able to confirm the current archive.pst, but the current outlook.pst I
cannot confirm because 2000 does not seem to allow me to do as you posted and
go to file>datafile management. Please help. Thanks

Always state your Outlook version when you post a question to that people
don't have to guess and suggest something inaccurate. Right-click the root
of the main folder set (i.e., Outlook Today) and choose Properties. If you
see an Advanced button, click it.
